Nick Barraclough is a specialist criminal law barrister with a wide ranging and extensive practice. He is experienced in most types and size of case, and undertakes advisory and review work, asset forfeiture and restraint, and disciplinary and regulatory work.

Fraud
R v M: Defended a £60 million diversion fraud. It was successfully argued that the prosecution was an abuse of process by Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise.
Murder
R v S A ‘missing body murder’.
R v P A 6-month trial involving abduction, torture and execution of two Jamaican gang members.
R v C Hit-man hired to kill a business associate of the defendant.
R v F Largest murder and rape investigation carried out in the West Country.
Drugs
R v P Represented ‘one of the largest drugs dealers in south London’ in a 2-month trial involving 60 kilos of cocaine, ‘millions’ of ecstasy tablets, and undercover police.
R v F 4-month trial involving a drugs 'super-grass', an international drugs syndicate, and allegations of conspiracy to supply multi-million pounds worth of heroin.
R v P Prosecuted 14 defendants in a series of cases arising from a large-scale undercover police operation aimed at the Oxfordshire drugs trade.
Sexual Offences
R v B Prosecuted a month long trial of a drug-dealer alleged to have falsely imprisoned, drugged, beaten and raped a series of victims.
R v K Prosecuted trial concerning the abduction and rape of an 18 year old homeless male by a serial sex offender.
R v P Violent and repeated rape in an alleged marriage of convenience. Nick Barraclough subsequently represented the defendant in a murder trial.
