The strategic planning, business development, marketing and day-to-day operations of 187 Fleet Street are the responsibility of our Chambers’ General Manager, supported by an experienced clerking and administration team working to ensure the highest standards of service are provided to our barristers, instructing solicitors/agencies and the general public.

Our experienced and professional clerks’ team, led by John Pyne – Senior Clerk, are happy to help with your enquiry in a friendly and efficient manner.

Chambers’ fees administration is led by Reg Harris, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the sector and has expert knowledge of the fees system.

Maria Dimmock – Chambers’ General Manager

Maria joined Chambers as General Manager in July 2019 and has overall responsibility for Chambers’ strategic planning, business development, marketing and day-to-day operations.

Maria brings 25 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within public and private sector healthcare organisations in the UK and Middle East, working with consultant medical practitioners in the development of their private practices.

Maria completed her Master’s in Business Administration in 2007.

John Pyne – Senior Clerk

John joined 187 Fleet Street as a clerk in 1981 and was appointed to the role of Senior Clerk in 2006.

John is responsible for overseeing the efficient running of Chambers ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service.  He is also responsible for the development of barristers’ practices and the management of the clerking team.

Theresa Tyler

Theresa joined Chambers in 2001 and has responsibility for the management of the diary and the development and maintenance of client relationships.

Prior to joining Chambers Theresa worked for over 20 years for a criminal defence solicitors in South East London.

Steve Parr

Steve is a very experienced clerk and has previously worked in two of London’s largest criminal sets.

Kathryn Powell

Kathryn (Kat) started clerking in 2011 at 2 Pump Court and joined 187 Fleet Street in July 2014 following the merger of both Chambers.

Kat is responsible for managing the court diary and the Chambers’ website administration, news, articles and events.

Reg Harris 

Reg joined 187 Fleet Street in October 2018 and brings a wealth of experience having previously worked in some of London’s leading criminal sets. He has also managed a firm of solicitors with offices nationwide.

Reg leads the Chambers’ fees team and is the first point of contact for any fee related enquiries.

Jo Haigh

Jo has been a clerk for over 25 years and has experience of working in two other criminal sets.

She was a diary clerk at 2 Pump Court before joining 187 Fleet Street in July 2014 following the merger of both Chambers and is responsible for all aspects of Chambers’ prosecution billing including aged debt.

Emma Gluckstein

Emma was called to the Bar in 1985. She then took a sabbatical and returned to Chambers to assist with their move to Fleet Street in 1999.

In 2004 Emma’s role changed to become Chambers’ Administrator and she is in the unique position of understanding both sides of the profession.
