Emma Nash Secured a Conviction for Murder of Jake Tierney Campbell at Chelmsford Crown Court

Emma Nash Criminal Defence and Prosecution Barrister

Emma Nash, led by Tom Kark QC, secured a conviction for murder of Jake Tierney Campbell at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Emma originally prosecuted JTC back in 2015 for s18 when, at that stage, the victim had been left in a persistent vegetative state. 4 years later the victim died of complications relating to his necessary medical care and JTC was charged with murder.

The trial, before a High Court Judge, involved complex issues of causation, and relating to the earlier conviction for s18 which involved argument in the Court of Appeal and the waiver of legal privilege.
